TacShell pull-down panels are neatly hidden under front and rear yokes until you decide to deploy them for enhanced identification or visibility.  A hidden Napoleon pocket on the left chest under the storm flap holds your documents or gear. The pull-down panels are easily customized with a variety of lettering and reflective options. There is a very portable waterproof hood that rolls neatly into the collar. Both sleeves have built in pockets for storage but also serve to access the shell for adding emblems and rank insignia. How does it work? The polyester micro fleece interior is a wind resistant and quick drying fleece layer. The exterior is a hardwearing low pill sweater. The two layers are laminated together to make a super warm and great looking uniform mid layer. Add a Blauer shell jacket or featherweight rain jacket and you can stay warm in below zero temperatures. Wear over a Blauer turtleneck and leave the uniform shirt at home. Comfortable and breathable for all day use in the car. If you have given up on uniform duty sweaters you will want to try this one.

ArmorSkin^® Base Shirt, the base layer of the ArmorSkin system is a hybrid shirt.  A wicking fast dry knit shirt connected to a uniform shirt at the shoulders and sleeves. The wicking material extends under the arms of the shirt for added comfort and breathability. It is antimicrobial treated to inhibit the growth of odor producing bacteria.

The Base Shirt concept is similar to the military issued under vest shirts, which are so popular with the troops. While a conventional duty shirt or Supershirt can be worn under the vest, the ArmorSkin Base Shirt is a lot more comfortable and professional looking. In the station, without the vest on, the look is still professional and identification in the form of shoulder patches, is still visible.

The base knit fabric is specially engineered to prevent pilling and picking from abrasion of the outer vest for a neat appearance when the vest is not worn on top of it. Even so it is best to avoid contacting the knit directly with hook and loop straps from the soft body armor vest when possible. If cared for properly it should last as long or longer than regular uniform shirts.

Technology, protection and performance meet in the SuperShirt. The original police duty shirt goes back decades. It was LAPD that standardized the midnight navy shirt back in the 1940’s and the basic uniform police shirt has not changed much since, until Blauer developed the SuperShirt.

What is different about it? The SuperShirt is the first ever duty shirt with stretch side panels for unsurpassed fit, comfort and a tailored appearance, right out of the box. The stretch panels double as ventilation in the warm weather. It is also the first ever shirt with standard adaptive nighttime visibility with 360 degree deployable reflective material. The specialized reflective material remains totally hidden until exposed by the wearer. The small amounts of strategically placed materials give officers an edge in nighttime vs. wearing a full sized safety vest.
